Eclairs are a semi-liquid milk chocolate encased with a chewy caramel. Ingredients for this chocolate includes Glucose syrup, sugar, whole MILK powder, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, skimmed MILK powder, MILK fat, salt, flavorings etc. Eclairs are extremely popular across the globe. Eclairs was known as “petite duchesse” until 1850. Eclairs originated during the 19th century in France. According to some research, eclairs was first made by Antonin Careme, who was a famous chef from France. He lived from 1784 to 1833. French name for eclairs is “Flash of lightning”, the reason for giving such name is because it can be eaten quickly. Because of its immense popularity 22nd June has been marked as National Chocolate Eclair Day.
