Gourd is popularly known as ‘law’ in Bangladesh. There are few types of gourds in Bangladesh as in – yellow flowered and white flowered. Gourd (lau-kumra) hard-shelled products of the family Cucurbitaceae. Plants of these species are trailing yearly herbs. Pumpkin (mistikumda) prevalent summer-blustery season vegetable, Cucurbita maxima, a great wellspring of sugar, nutrient An and C, and minerals. It is developed in Bangladesh in a region of around 14,000 ha. Pumpkin is believed to be local to Northern and Southern America. It might be developed by sowing seeds legitimately or transplanting two weeks old seedlings. It is very tasty to eat and also cure many diseases.
